“When I was playing in the NFL, I can’t imagine if I went to training camp or practices a few days a week wearing the Super Suit and then took it off on Sundays. It would have given me a huge advantage!”
“I used to run with ankle weights or weighted vests. However, the weight was in specific areas. The Super Suit distributes the resistance all over your body.”
Today, while Fred is no longer pulling in acrobatic catches on the gridiron, he is still working to maintain an athlete’s physique and incorporates the Super Suit in his workouts.
I felt a big difference between the days I worked out wearing the Super Suit and days I worked out not wearing the Super Suit. Once I took the Super Suit off, I did the same routine and I felt lighter and I could do the same routine longer.”
When Ryan told me about his idea of the Super Suit, my eyes lit up. As an athlete, I look for anything and everything I can find to get an edge. The Super Suit gives me my edge.
The edge the Super Suit provides me is better than any product I could find that added weight to my body to execute dynamic movements in my workouts.
When I pour everything I have into a training session the Super Suit makes sure I get 110% of the results from that workout. Wearing the suit amplifies my hard work and truly makes me feel like a superhero.
Working out in the Super Suit got me into my target heart rate faster and longer, making my workouts even more efficient and intense.
I train 6 days a week over the last 10 years. I would usually use a weighted vest once a week but I did not like how the weight was stabilized on my body. I noticed with the Super Suit, the weight was evenly distributed throughout my entire body. It gave me a feeling like the added weight from the suit was actually weight from my own body.
This feeling made my movement even easier during my workouts.
On my sparring days I would wear the Super Suit for 6 to 10 rounds and then take it off and spar another 6 to 10. I noticed the difference immediately. The Practice Heavy, Perform Light concept helped with my speed and movement.
I also loved how you can just throw it in the washer, something you can't do with a vest.
Overall, I think the Super Suit is great for building speed and stamina and I can’t wait to see this product launch in the near future.
Jim Harshaw Jr. won three ACC Championships for the University of Virginia, trained at the Olympic Training Center, competed overseas for Team USA, and went on to coach D1 wrestling.
“I’ve used a weighted vest to train for years and there are a number of things that are inconvenient about it,” said Harshaw. When he tightened the weighted vest, it made it more difficult to breathe. Loosening the vest caused it to bounce and move around too much.
“I didn’t think there were any alternatives to a weighted vest. When I got the Super Suit, I was surprised how comfortable it was. The Super Suit is much more versatile than a weighted vest.”
Today, Jim is a TEDx Speaker and performance coach. He has moved on the wrestling mat and now does Spartan Races and F3 workouts
“If you can make all of your training a little bit harder, it’s like training at altitude and then coming to sea level when you take the suit off. Making your training harder makes Game Day easier.”
